Meghan Markle Feud With Dad Reignited Over BAFTA Award For This Reason

Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle Sr’s feud may have once again been reignited due to a surprising reason.

According to Mirror, the live coverage of Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding from May 19, 2018, and Thomas’ explosive interview with “Good Morning Britain” are both up for the Best News Coverage award.

Markle has not spoken to her dad even before she tied the knot with Prince Harry. But it was recently revealed that the Duchess of Sussex reached out to her father via a handwritten letter months ago to tell him that he broke her heart into a million pieces.

But instead of keeping things private, Thomas decided to expose the contents of the letter by sharing it with Daily Mail. He also said that he doesn’t think it was Markle’s thoughts that were written on the paper.

Also in the letter, Markle asked her dad to stop talking to the press and to stop believing all of the rumors about her and Prince Harry.

“If you love me, please stop,” she wrote.

In January, Thomas tried to defend himself from the critics by saying that he has been nothing but a good father to his daughter. He also compared himself to murderers and said that even though that killed other people get a visit from their loved ones.

Markle’s disappointment towards the 74-year-old former lighting director escalated after reports swirled that he paid a photographer to take fake photos of him ahead of the “Suits” alum’s wedding.

Following the controversy, Thomas suffered from a stroke and was rushed to a hospital for surgery. Since the surgery took place around the same time as the royal wedding, he was unable to make it to this daughter’s big day.

According to Markle, she was not informed beforehand that her dad could not make it. As a result, Prince Harry asked Prince Charles to walk Markle down the aisle and he agreed.
