Meghan Markle Has To Follow These ‘Strict’ Christmas Traditions Amid Mom’s Invitation
Meghan Markle has to follow some strict Christmas traditions now that she’s part of the royal family.
Josie Griffiths, a journalist for The Sun, said that Markle is expected to attend the Christmas Eve football match between Prince William and Prince Harry. The 11-a-side game is usually played at Castle Rising near Sandringham.
The Duchess of Sussex will also open her Christmas gifts on the eve of the holiday as part of an ongoing German tradition. The “Suits” alum cannot take a nap on Christmas afternoon because she needs to watch Queen Elizabeth II give a speech at 3 p.m.
On Christmas morning, Markle and the other members of the royal family will attend two church services within a span of three hours. The first service is a private one and it starts at 9 a.m. The second service is for the public and is held at St. Mary Magdalene Church at 11 a.m.
Markle, and her mom, Doria Ragland, who was invited by the Queen to celebrate Christmas with the royal family this year, will be among the large group of people to stay in Sandringham throughout the holiday season.
The Duchess and Ragland should also learn some basic French terms because the Queen’s menu on Christmas Day is in the foreign language.
In related news, it has been reported that Ragland will most likely attend the Christmas celebration in Sandringham this year. After receiving her invitation from the Queen, the professional yoga instructor was photographed walking her dogs in Los Angeles.
After finishing her short stroll with her two dogs, Ragland went back home. There are also some speculations suggesting that Ragland will eventually move to the United Kingdom to be closer to her only daughter. After all, Markle is expecting her first child with Prince Harry, and she will give birth sometime in the spring of 2019.
Markle, who is very close to her mom, would definitely want her mom to be there as her child gets older.
