Meghan Markle Has To Modernize 'Chic, Classy' Fashion To Fit Royal Wardrobe
Meghan Markle has to modernize her fashion.
David Emanuel, one of Princess Diana's favorite designers, praised the Duchess of Sussex's choice of clothing. However, he felt that Markle still need to improve it by modernizing it so that her outfits would fit the royal wardrobes.
"She is refreshingly modern. If you saw the series 'Suits,' when she was an actress it was very classy, very chic, very understated," Emanuel told Sky News (via Express). "Very shapely skirts and very clean, and that’s her look. She is not frills and flowers and she's not lace and sequins. Very simple, very elegant and long may it reign."
"She will have to slightly modernise to fit in with the Royal wardrobe. We've got press reports that she's got to wear tights, she's got to wear this and that," the expert continued. "She is making her mark and I think she's doing brilliantly."
Just recently, Kate Middleton beats Markle as the top royal influencer. According to eBay's annual UK Retail Report, the royal mom of three's maternity style generated more online searches on the e-commerce website.
When the duchess was still pregnant, searches for tailored maternity coats tripled. In addition, searches or Jenny Packham, one of Middleton's favorite designers, have more than doubled after Prince William's wife was spotted wearing Packham's red smock dress for Prince Louis public debut.
"While Meghan was clearly the focus of the fashion pages this year, Kate's distinctive style has long been a hit with shoppers on eBay since her wedding in 2011," said Rob Hattrell, UK vice president of eBay.
"We always see an uptick in searches around landmark royal events and 2018 was a bumper year for small businesses on eBay, with both the birth of Prince Louis and Meghan and Harry's wedding driving purchases across the nation.."
In related news, Middleton and Markle would need to follow the royal's protocol when wearing jewelry. According to Myka Meier, they are only permitted to wear diamonds on special occasions. Before 6 p.m. the recommended bling includes metallics, gemstones, pearls and sapphires. At night, they will be able to use diamonds.
