Meghan Markle Learned To Always Look Good On Camera With Dad’s Help
Meghan Markle reportedly learned how to always look good in front of the camera with the help of her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., a former lighting director.
In her interview with Elle, Markle credited her dad for some of the things she’s learned including looking good on camera.
“He taught me to write thank you notes, to always arrive early, to drink Arnold Palmers [a non-alcoholic cocktail of lemonade and iced tea], to find my light when I’m on camera and beyond,” she said (via Express).
The 37-year-old former “Suits” star also said that it was her dad that invested in her acting career when she was younger.
“The blood, sweat, and tears that this man (who came from so little in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Christmas stockings were filled with oranges, and dinners were potatoes and spam) invested on my future so that I could grow up and have so much. He put gas in my car when I went from audition to audition to try to make it as an actress. He is the person who believed in this grand dream of mine well before I could even see it as a possibility,” she said.
Markle and Thomas used to be so close to each other, but everything changed between them recently. Thomas revealed that he was recently cut out of his daughter’s life because he gave an interview and slammed the royal family.
The 74-year-old also called Prince Harry rude and said that he hung up on him during their last phone conversation. Thomas last spoke to Markle and Prince Harry before the royal family. He was unable to send his daughter his birthday card on Aug. 4 because he said he has no way of reaching her.
As of late, Markle has not yet reacted publicly to her dad’s tell-all interviews. It is unclear if she will ever do so.
