Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are still overjoyed following the birth of their baby boy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Unfortunately, their love story faced many challenges, and almost caused the Duke of Sussex to lose a good friend.

Prior to his marriage to Meghan, Prince Harry was good friends with his former Eton classmates Tom “Skippy” Inskip. However, the men reportedly had a falling out when Harry decided to marry Meghan.

According to the Express UK, Tom was not invited to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding reception due to a comment he made about the couple’s relationship.

“The real reason Tom was made no longer welcome by Meghan is that she had learned he had dared to question Harry over whether he really felt he was doing the right thing in marrying her,” a source revealed.

The insider claimed Tom questioned whether Harry truly loved Meghan. “All the poor guy did, during a heart to heart with the prince, was to venture that Harry might be infatuated, more in lust than love, and maybe he might think about cooling things down before rushing into a proposal.”

“Meghan didn’t actually want Tom and his wife Lara at their wedding, but Harry insisted, although they were not invited to the party in the evening, which hurt because all of their other mutual chums were asked,” the source added.

Once Meghan learned of the incident, she wanted Harry to keep his distance from Tom. However, when Meghan gave birth to Archie, Harry reached put to his old pal, and the two are reportedly working on their friendship.

“Tom is genuinely happy that he was proved wrong about Meghan - because he, like everyone else, can see that they are absolutely devoted to each other,” the insider shared.

“But he doesn’t feel guilty about asking Harry if he was sure he was going the right thing in the first place - he felt he was only doing what a good friend should do, in talking it through with Harry.”

The insider went on to claim Meghan was responsible for the strain on Prince Harry and Tom’s friendship. “And he wouldn’t have been excluded from the gang had not Meghan found out about their boys’ chat,” the source said.

Meghan gave birth to Archie on May 6, while it remains unclear just how much Prince Harry and Tom have worked on their friendship, many believe Tom is being considered as one of the godparents the couple could pick for their baby boy.
