Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle put down roots in Los Angeles, the Duchess of Sussex has been reportedly seeing her mother, Doria Ragland.

“Meghan has been seeing her mom while in L.A .,” the insider told Us Weekly.

Markle’s mom, who also lives in the busy city, spent time with the Sussexes on Mother’s Day, OprahMag’s source said, underlining her presence in the life of the controversial family. It was the first time that Markle commemorated the event in the United States as a matriarch.

Prince Harry and Markle the former’s hometown in March and flew to Canada, where they temporarily stayed before jetting off to Los Angeles where they are currently residing at Tyler Perry’s $18-million mansion in an exclusive neighborhood of Beverly Ridge Estates.

Early in May, it was reported that the couple was eyeing to score their own property after the lockdown and Markle’s mom, Ragland, will be a huge part of that plan. Despite this, Prince Harry and the former “Suits” actress reportedly maintained they want to be independent.

“ Once quarantine and lockdown are over, Harry and Meghan will be moving into their new pad—and they want Doria to be included in these plans. She is hugely independent though, and doesn’t want to be in their space. She will have her own granny annexe," the source told The Sun.

The insider further claimed that Prince Harry and his wife had been toying about the idea of a babysitter but Markle is only trusting her mom, who was described as “her biggest champion.” The 35-year-old is also reportedly close to his mother-in-law, so much so that he was receptive to the idea that Ragland moves with them.

Since the family of three relocated in Los Angeles, they have celebrated milestones such as Archie’s first birthday. Prince Harry and Markle were also seen volunteering in the community by dropping meals to those in need.

One time, they were spotted walking their dogs, Oz and Guy. Prince Harry and Markle have also added another level of protection in their temporary Los Angeles house by putting up screens in the vicinity to avoid passersby from having a glimpse of their lives.
