  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly planned about their royal exit even before they got married
  • Prince William's younger brother was allegedly "deeply unhappy" for a long time
  • Prince William and Prince Harry's move to split their households is considered normal

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly discussed their royal exit even before they tied the knot.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Following their bombshell announcement, the couple flew to Canada.

In March, they carried out their final royal duty. The following month, it was confirmed that the couple already moved to the United States.

Many blamed Markle for their royal exit. However, new reports claimed that it was actually Prince Harry’s idea.

A new book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex entitled “Finding Freedom” will be released in August. The tell-all biography penned by royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand will discuss the royal couple’s life and how they ended up with their decision to leave their royal lives.

According to The Sun’s Brittany Vow, the book will also reveal that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been planning about leaving the royal family even before they tied the knot.

“The book will explore the journey that Meghan and Harry went through in coming to the conclusion that they did,” an insider told Vow.

“It will make clear that far from it being a snap decision that they took a long time to make it. The seeds of Megxit were sown before they even got married. The truth is that Harry had been deeply unhappy for a long time. And he and Meghan openly discussed going in a different direction well before they got married.”

Prince Harry was often seen with Prince William and Kate Middleton before he dated and married Markle. In fact, he was dubbed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third wheel, and the three royals were called “the royal trio.”

When Markle joined the royal family, many thought the royal trio would become the “fab four,” but it didn’t happen. Instead, Prince Harry decided to have a split household from his older brother.

Their separation sparked various rumors. Some claimed that the two princes were feuding. However, royal experts believed that it was normal since both have their own growing families.

“The separation of their households, therefore, doesn’t necessarily symbolise a growing rift as rumours suggests, but rather a natural progression of age, maturity and changing personal needs,” said Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart.
