Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Have Royal Duties In Scotland Before Valentine's Day
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have royal duties before Valentine's Day.
On Tuesday, Kensington Palace announced that the "Suits" star and the Duke will be visiting Scotland before the Heart's Day. This will be Prince Harry and Middleton's first Valentine's Day together as an engaged couple.
"Prince Harry and Ms. Markle will visit Edinburgh on 13th February, where they will attend engagements at @edinburghcastle, local social enterprise @SocialBite_, and a reception celebrating youth achievement to mark Scottish Year of Young People at the Palace of Holyroodhouse," the palace announced on Twitter.
It remains unknown if Prince Harry and Markle will be spending Valentine's Day there or if they will immediately head home after their royal engagement. Edinburgh is about 400 miles north of London.
Wherever Prince Harry and the "Suits" stars are on Wednesday, the couple is expected to celebrate the day especially that Markle has an affinity for the holiday, People reported.
"Hook, line and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day," Markle wrote on her lifestyle blog The Tig. "Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I’m immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss. This is all happening in black and white, of course. And in Paris, if I had my way."
"But delusions of francophile grandeur aside, Valentine's Day is special wherever you happen to find yourself. And in terms of gifts, be it breakfast in bed, a sweet love note, or a single flower, it really is the thought that counts," Markle continued.
As Prince Harry and Markle's romance heats up the actress' presence in social media has started to drop. The "Remember Me" star shut down The Tig in April. She also deleted her social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter earlier this year.
In related news, Markle is reportedly taking princess lessons as she preps for her royal wedding with Prince Harry. The "Dater's Handbook" star has also a team of hair and makeup coaches to help her with her fashion choices.
"She's got a little bit of a glossy posse going on," Sunday Express royal editor Camilla Tominey said. "She's got a new assistant, I think she's obviously getting help with hair and makeup and clothes because she's in the spotlight. She's getting a very warm reception over here."
