Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received a nice gift from the Queen.

Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to leave Kensington Palace and move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. Many were shocked when they decided to split their household from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with some believing that it was due to their alleged rift.

According to royal author Juliet Rieden, there was a reason why they moved away from Prince William and Kate Middleton to their new home, which was described as a “nice gift” from the Queen.

“Would you want to live in a tiny cottage on the edge of where your brother lives, with the extended family?” Rieden said.

“Lots of people live in Kensington Palace, not just William and Kate and the children. There are lots of other members of the Royal Family. Or would you want a place of your own, still next to granny, so you’re not exactly striking out,” she added.

TV presenter Belinda Russell interjected, “A nice gift from granny” to which the author agreed and said, “Yes, a nice gift from granny, but to be able to really stretch and really grow.”

At present, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are involved in several issues. Many were not happy when they announced they would keep the christening of their son, Archie, private. According to Duncan Larcombe, the pair is suffering PR disaster “week in week out.” He added that he was concerned with Prince William’s brother because he knew him personally since he was a teenager.

Prior to the attacks about Archie’s private christening, Prince Harry and Markle were also slammed for spending $3.05 million for the renovation of Frogmore Cottage. It was paid using the public’s money, yet they keep a lot of things private from the people — from Markle’s delivery to Archie’s baptism.

A number of netizens stressed that they pay for Prince Harry and Markle’s privileged lives. If they want to be private citizens, then they should stop taking money from the public. They should shoulder all their expenses, according to the netizens.
