Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Shockingly Kicked Out Of Buckingham Palace After Bombshell Exit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were reportedly kicked out of Buckingham Palace.

Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world with their bombshell exit after announcing that they were stepping back from their royal duties. However, Prince Harry and Markle said that they wanted to keep an active role in the monarchy and yet they will work to be financially independent. Thus, many were surprised when it was reported that they were closing down their office at Buckingham Palace.

According to New Idea, it wasn’t Prince Harry and Markle’s own decision to leave the palace, they were reportedly told that they could no longer base their office in the palace moving forward, forcing them to shut it down. Initially, the couple said that they would split their time between the U.K. and the U.S., but obviously this arrangement won’t be long since the couple is expected to move out of the U.K. for good.

The royal family and the Sussexes have agreed to an initial 12-month review to ensure that the new arrangement will work out well for both parties. However, Prince Harry and Markle will no longer be undertaking any official duties for Queen Elizabeth II that are paid by the Sovereign Grant, Hello! reported.

Also, part of the agreement is for the couple to have no office based at the Buckingham Palace. Starting April 1, Prince Harry and Markle will only be represented through their U.K. foundation team.

An insider shared that the layoffs following the closing down of Prince Harry and Markle’s office at Buckingham Palace surprised their staff even if they were told ahead of time. The staff members couldn’t believe that “after their hard work, discretion and loyalty,” they would end up away from the Sussexes. The layoffs were deemed “practical” because the royal family will no longer be paying for Prince Harry and Markle’s staff.

Some employees asked to stay with Prince Harry and Markle because of their love and loyalty to Prince William’s brother. However, it was Markle who decided for them.

“Insiders also note that it’s Meghan that deals with this side of things and many believe it’s a simple case of her running the show and taking away any responsibility from Harry,” Neil Sean told Fox News.
