Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Honeymoon Delayed Due To Prince William Being ‘Tired’
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry delayed their honeymoon due to Prince William.
Newlyweds are expected to celebrate their honeymoon right after their wedding. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t have it that way, instead, the couple prioritized their call of duty.
Prince Harry and Markle stayed at the palace for over a week before they jetted off to their honeymoon destination to attend some engagements.
In the 2018 documentary “Harry and Meghan: the First 100 Days,” one journalist claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s honeymoon was delayed due to Prince William being “tired of doing all the work.”
Duncan Larcombe explained how the people were expecting Prince Harry and Markle to fly to some exotic place somewhere but ended up watching them at Prince Charles’ 70th patronage garden birthday celebration.
“I think the reason poor Meghan has gone to work full time is that Harry has got to pick up some of the slack,” journalist Helen Kiran-Taylor said. “I think Prince William is tired of doing all the work.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge didn’t make it to the said event. Prince William was across town attending a tribute to the Manchester Arena bombing victims. The tragedy killed 22 people and hundreds were injured as the bomb went off during Ariana Grande’s concert. Prince William delivered a speech honoring the victims and placed a message on the Tree of Hope Memorial.
On the other hand, Middleton was still on maternity leave during the event. The duchess was just at home looking after Prince Louis who was only a few weeks old at the time.
In related news, Markle is currently on maternity leave and is due to deliver her firstborn soon. Betting odds suggest that the Duchess of Sussex might give birth this week.
Prince William and Prince Harry have also officially split their household. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already moved to their new home in Windsor. Prince Harry and Markle are also now based at Buckingham Palace. On the other hand, Prince William and Middleton remain at Kensington Palace.
Following their split, Prince Harry and Markle announced their official Instagram account. According to reports, their move might jeopardize the harmony in the royal family as the public will continue to compare the Cambridges and the Sussexes.
