Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced the name of their nonprofit organization.

According to royal correspondent Hannah Furness of The Telegraph, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have drawn up proposals for their upcoming projects for their nonprofit organization named Archewell. Prince Harry and Markle told the publication that they wanted the organization “to do something of meaning, to do something that matters.”

Prince Harry and Markle will support the global efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic. They also explained how they came up with the name.

“Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of ‘Arche’ - the Greek word meaning ‘source of action,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explained.

“We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name. To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right.”

The name of Prince Harry and Markle’s nonprofit organization sparked mixed reactions from the online users. Many felt that it was inspired from the name of their son, Archie. Several said that they were expecting it especially since his first birthday is coming up. They found the name “perfect” and “wonderful.”

However, some slammed the Sussexes. A few netizens accused them of capitalizing on their own child.

“Here we go... Capitalizing on the child no one is allowed to see. They are so predictable,” @LaurenCampHood wrote.

Meanwhile, several also defended the Sussexes. According to one online user, it’s common for family businesses to be named after a child.

“This is not unusual. Family businesses are often named after a child. I like the fact that the name has a solid meaning,” @Law101Lyric added.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are reportedly happier and more relaxed after they stepped back from their royal roles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already moved to the U.S. from Canada. They are living in a secluded place in Los Angeles.
