Meghan Markle is reportedly doing much better now that she doesn’t have to adhere to Queen Elizabeth’s strict royal rules and protocols.

According to InTouch Weekly, Prince Harry’s wife rebelled against Her Majesty a few times especially when it comes to her clothes because she thought that the royal dress code was sexist.

Markle didn’t like the idea that female members of the royal family are only allowed to wear skirts or dresses that are below the knee when they are out in public. It is also very seldom for female royals to wear jeans.

“As a modern-day woman, Meghan hated this protocol and thinks it’s sexist. She rebelled a few times by wearing pants, but now she can wear them whenever she wants,” the royal source said.

The insider also said that Markle couldn’t be happier now that she’s able to wear comfortable and casual clothing because she’s no longer an official member of the royal family. Two weeks ago, the “Suits” alum was photographed wearing leggings while walking her two rescue dogs in Canada.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only strict royal rule that Markle hated while working as a senior royal. Another source told the publication weeks ago the Prince Harry’s wife thought that curtsying to other royals was ridiculous.

“She’s relieved to finally have some freedom in her life — to do whatever she wants without the royals watching her every move. She’s already leading a normal life again — driving around, doing the grocery shopping, running errands and that kind of thing,” a second source said.

Since leaving the royal family a few weeks ago, Markle, Prince Harry, and their 8-month-old son, Archie have been spending time in Canada. While the couple is enjoying a more normal and quieter life in North America, criticisms following their bombshell exit continue to abound.

Just this week, “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan lambasted the Duchess of Sussex by saying that she is going to end up like “mini royal” Kim Kardashian. Unfortunately, Morgan doesn’t think that Markle would end up like a kind of Princess Diana figure.
