- Thomas Markle appeared weary and confused during his interview
Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., recently sat down for an interview with Piers Morgan. Following his appearance on the ITV talk show, a body language expert analyzed his gestures.
While speaking with Express, Judi James said that it was evident that the former lighting director was weary and confused during his guesting on “Good Morning Britain.”
Thomas also discussed the possibility of going to court to prove that he’s not lying about all the things he said and accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. But according to James, Thomas’ desire to appear in court in somehow a ploy so he could finally see his daughter and son-in-law.
“As he said he didn’t want to have to battle with Harry and Meghan he used one raised brow and a rueful smile to suggest he would do so if necessary, but then he brought both hands up, cupped and facing inward, and pushed them together as though part-miming a reconciliation,” James said.
Thomas was also spotted making a one-shoulder shrug that looked like bravado as he talked about meeting his daughter and Prince Harry in the courtroom. James said that this was a signal that Thomas doesn’t have any problem if he needs to see the royal couple in court.
James also said that even though Thomas is open to possibly reconcile with Prince Harry and Markle, it is still evident that he’s angry at them.
“His body shimmy when he spoke about being sick and about families taking care of each other suggested some inner feelings of anger or indignation. Although he was very quick to try to correct his rather sinister-sounding phrase from his recent documentary: ‘It’s time to take care of Daddy’. He’d obviously had second thoughts about that phrase and tried to use precision gestures and a pointed finger as he said it wasn’t about money,” she said.
Markle has not spoken to her dad in over a year. The last time that the “Suits” alum responded to Thomas was before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex also wrote a letter to Thomas, which the latter shared to Daily Mail.
