Meghan Markle ‘Should Emulate’ This Royal, Relationship Expert Says
Meghan Markle should emulate one female member of the royal family and it’s not Princess Diana or Queen Elizabeth II.
Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart, a relationship expert, told Express that the Duchess of Sussex should be more like Princess Anne. The Princess Royal works with several good causes without seeking fanfare.
“One in full motherhood stride, Meghan would do well to replicate this by making a quiet long-term commitment to at least one good charitable cause. In a time of great change and uncertainty in British politics, the lives of British inhabitants would no doubt be enriched by a charitable, hard-working princess,” she said.
Mackintosh-Stewart went on to say that if Markle would play this right, she may quickly become the public’s Queen of Hearts once again.
Princess Anne and Markle also made headlines recently after the number of their royal engagements was revealed to the public. Princess Anne was dubbed as the hardest working royal for 2018 by The Court Circular. According to the analysis by The Times, Princess Anne took part in the most days out of any royal at over 180 engagements.
Prince Philip’s only daughter is involved with over 300 charities, organizations, and military regiments. She also frequently conducts official visits. Princess Anne works closely with the Carers Trust, which provides support for those caring for disabled or chronically ill family members or friends, which she helped launch in 1991.
Princess Anne is followed by Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, as the second hardest-working royal for 2018 with at least 170 days of engagements. Prince Edward took over much of Prince Philip’s work after the Duke of Edinburgh retired.
Markle, on the other hand, did not carry as many royal engagements last year because she only joined the royal family on May 19 after her wedding to Prince Harry. Just like her, Kate Middleton didn’t also have a lot of engagements because she went on 6-month maternity leave following the birth of Prince Louis on April 23, 2018.
