Meghan Markle Snubs Hospital Where Kate Middleton Gave Birth, Follows Sophie Instead
Meghan Markle may opt for a hospital delivery but not where Kate Middleton gave birth to her three children.
According to Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, the Duchess of Sussex has different birthing plans compared to the Duchess of Cambridge. Many believe that she wanted to give birth at home.
However, according to Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Sebastian Shakespeare, the pregnant royal has plans to give birth at a hospital, but not in the same facility where Princess Diana and Middleton delivered their children. Shakespeare noted that Markle may opt for the same hospital where Sophie, Countess of Wessex, gave birth 15 years ago.
“If their Royal Highnesses have moved to Frogmore Cottage before the birth, as planned, Frimley Park may be a more easily accessible option than St Mary’s,” a source told Shakespeare.
Prince Harry and Markle will reportedly move to their Windsor home before their baby’s arrival. As of late, the estate is undergoing refurbishment. It is 23 miles away from St. Mary’s, but it’s only 15 miles from Frimley Park.
Prince Edward’s wife, Sophie, only have good things to say about the hospital. She delivered her children Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn in the said facility.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, was emotional when she visited the hospital in 2014 because she nearly died when she gave birth to her firstborn. Sophie was rushed to the hospital due to crippling abdominal pains. The staff noticed that she was showing signs of acute placental abruption and immediately knew that she needed an emergency caesarean. The procedure, which was overseen by the Queen’s obstetrician, Marcus Setchell, was thankfully successful.
According to previous reports, Prince Harry and Markle decided to leave Kensington Palace and move to Windsor due to tension with Prince William. Some insiders claimed that the rift was between the two royal princes.
Some also claimed that the ghastly row was actually between Middleton and Markle as the duchesses couldn’t get along well with each other. According to an insider, their rift started in 2017 when Markle was judged as “downright rude” when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex into their home in Norfolk to celebrate Christmas.
