Meghan Markle Spotted In Bikini Just Hours Before Trevor Engelson Wedding

Meghan Markle's first wedding was very different from what she had with Prince Harry months ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in May in a fairytale wedding. In fact, many compared it to Cinderella's. But it was not Markle's first time walking down the aisle because in 2011, she married her first husband, Trevor Engelson.

Markle and Engelson's big day was low-profile compared to her royal wedding with Prince Harry. According to Isabella Sullivan, a journalist for Express, she spent the morning of her wedding with Engelson by the pool in a yellow polkadot bikini with her mom, Doria Ragland. On the other hand, she spent the whole morning prepping for her big day when she tied the knot with the royal prince.

The publication noted that Markle was relaxed. She was photographed with no makeup and with her hair wet. Hours later, she showed up with her hair still wet for the wedding. There were no hairdressers to prepare her. It was a simple and intimate wedding witnessed by a few people close to the bride and groom.

Engelson and Markle's wedding party in a luxurious Jamaican resort lasted for four days. Initially, there were reports claiming that her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., also missed the event. Thomas was reportedly not present when the former "Suits" star tied the knot with her first husband. But Thomas denied it and insisted that he was there.

"There are no images of me frolicking on the beach because, at the time, I was well into my 60s and not much into frolicking," Thomas told Daily Mail. "But I was very much there and there were more than 100 people there to witness it. Doria and I walked Meghan down the beach together."

"Of course I have photographs of Meghan and me at her first wedding but I choose not to share them because I think that would be in poor taste and offensive to Prince Harry. We booked out the whole resort and I was more than happy to contribute to the cost of my daughter's first wedding," he added.

Markle and Thomas are not on speaking terms. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly frustrated that Thomas keeps on making paid interviews. On the other hand, Markle's dad was upset because he felt disconnected from his daughter since she joined the royal family.
