Meghan Markle Staff Member Denies ‘Difficult Duchess’ Claims: We Like Her Enthusiasm

Meghan Markle’s staff recently slammed the rumors that she is a “Difficult Duchess.”

While speaking with Elle, the royal source also said that Markle was a pleasure to have in the royal family, and they also love her enthusiasm. The Duchess of Sussex has been keen to learn about royal protocol, and she also takes her role very seriously.

Last year, it was reported that Markle gave her royal staff a hard time due to her outrageous demands. Prior to her wedding on May 19, the Duchess of Sussex requested for fresheners to be installed at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle to get rid of the church’s musty smell. However, Queen Elizabeth II denied this request.

Markle also wanted to wear a tiara from the Royal Collection, but the Queen didn’t allow her to do so. And during her bridesmaids’ fitting, Markle reportedly made Kate Middleton cry.

Following the release of the various stories about Markle’s alleged behavior, her personal assistant, Melissa Toubati, resigned. The French-born royal staff played a huge role in Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding.

A source told Mirror UK at that time that Toubati couldn’t handle the pressure especially because Markle put a lot of demands on her.

“She is hugely talented and played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding. She’ll be missed by everyone in the household,” the source said.

Weeks later, it was reported that another royal staff has submitted her resignation. Samantha Cohen, who served as one of the Queen’s trusted employees, will reportedly exit her post after Markle gives birth in the Spring.

Details about Cohen’s upcoming departure are still being kept under wraps, but she reportedly promised Markle that she will find a replacement first before she leaves her for good.

One of the reasons being linked to Markle’s alleged difficult behavior is her career as an actress in Hollywood.

“She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment. However, there’s a different degree of respect in the royal household and Kate has always been very careful about how she has acted around the staff,” the source said.
