Meghan Markle Visited This Country For New Year Before Dating Prince Harry
Meghan Markle reportedly visited Iceland during the New Year before she first met Prince Harry.
Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, revealed that this was one of Markle’s last destinations as a single woman. On her Instagram account, Markle shared some photos from her trip to Hafnarfjörður and Reykjavik.
In the snap, Markle posed in front of a huge signage and while standing on thick layers of snow.
“You’re so pretty, and really nice too. Just my type,” she captioned her picture.
Iceland is reportedly known as one of the most expensive countries to travel to, and Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton have not been there. Queen Elizabeth II, however, visited the island in 1990.
Before dating Prince Harry, Markle has also traveled to Malta, Spain, Italy, and Greece with her friends. She also regularly spent time in Tulum, Mexico, Toronto, Canada, and the United States.
But since meeting Prince Harry, Markle has not traveled solo. Rumors about the Duchess of Sussex going to Toronto without her husband have been confirmed to be false. Reports about the “Suits” alum traveling to the United States by herself are also incorrect.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle have also visited a slew of beautiful places. They went to Scandinavia last year to watch the Northern Lights. They also bonded under the stars in Botswana. During their engagement interview, Prince Harry shared details about their first trip to South Africa.
“I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana. We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic. So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to know each other,” he gushed.
They also went to the tiny Norwegian town of Tromvik, the Caribbean, Africa, Toronto, and Namibia, according to People.
