On Aug. 4, Meghan Markle turned 38 years old. Reportedly, she celebrated the occasion at Frogmore Cottage with husband Prince Harry and their son Archie. Additionally, the Duchess of Sussex had a very special and meaningful cake to mark the occasion.

According to "Good Morning America," Meghan brought in a cake that was made by Luminary Bakery. This was particularly significant in that that particular establishment in northeast London dedicates their efforts to empower women, a cause that is very important to the Duchess. In fact, Meghan featured the bakery in the September issue of British Vogue that she recently guest-edited.

It is said that one thing that impressed Meghan about the business was the way that it "teaches women who are homeless, have been in the prison system, are victims of domestic violence, or in the sex trade, how to bake - and find employment," per "GMA." It is also said that since their feature they have seen a substantial increase in sales from royal fans who are excited to learn more about what they do, according to Alice Williams, the bakery's founder and CEO.

The royal's cake, which can be seen below, was a carrot cake with an icing inscription that read "Happy Birthday Meghan."

"When I applied for this job I did not expect that I'd be making a cake for Duchess Meghan Markle," Caoimhe Bennett, a Luminary baker, told the outlet.

As for how Meghan felt about her cake, she penned a handwritten note to the business, which they shared on Instagram. "The work you do, what you represent to the community, the spirit of the women there- you all embody what it means to be 'forces of change,'" she wrote. Her note can be viewed below.

Fortunately for the bakery, Meghan didn't end up missing out on her guest-editing role, because it certainly seems to have changed their trajectory moving forward.
