Meghan Markle’s Childhood Home At Risk Amid California’s Woodland Hills Fire
Meghan Markle’s childhood home in Woodland Hills is at risk amid California’s ravaging fires.
Sam Stevenson, a journalist for Express, revealed that 42 lives have already been lost following the incident. The Duchess of Sussex’s childhood home is directly in the path of one of the fires. On Monday, it was reported that the blaze was just under a mile away from the Golden State neighborhood.
One of the residents of Woodland Hills spoke to Mirror regarding the devastating accident.
“We’ve watched the flames in the distance coming closer and closer by the day. Usually, there is some kind of miracle or the winds change, we fear our homes will be next. All we can do is pray,” the resident said.
Stevenson reported that the entire community of Hidden Hills, which stands directly opposite Markle’s home, has been placed on a mandatory evacuation order. Approximately 2,000 residents have been asked to flee their homes.
Some celebrities’ homes that were destroyed by the fires belonged to Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, and Gerard Butler.
In related news, Markle also made headlines after her photo in Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portrait was released on Wednesday. Prince Charles celebrated his 70th birthday this week and he commemorated it with a portrait that featured his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
But Prince Harry and Markle captured the attention of the royal fans who couldn’t help but notice how loved up they seem. The couple will soon celebrate the first year of their engagement, but it seems that they are still on the honeymoon phase of their relationship.
In two of the snaps – one formal and one informal – Prince Harry couldn’t help but hold his wife’s waist. Even though the “Suits” alum broke down in laughter in the picture, the Duke of Sussex still didn’t let go of her waist.
Markle also seems to be very comfortable posing in front of the camera with the royal family. She also did a similar thing when she wed Prince Harry on May 19, but her wedding portrait also featured Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
