Meghan Markle’s Dad Makes This Bold Move To Talk To His Daughter
Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, seems to be exhausting all of his options just so he could talk to the Duchess of Sussex.
Rory Tingle, a journalist for Daily Mail, revealed that the former lighting director has reached out to the Archbishop of Canterbury in a bid for help in healing his rift with the “Suits” alum.
Thomas, who resides in Mexico, is also planning on flying to London in an attempt to meet his daughter face-to-face. He also said that he is considering to take legal action so that he will be granted the opportunity to meet with his grandchild.
“Thomas says the Markle blood will be as much in the child’s veins as the blue blood of the royals and he has rights. He admits mistakes, but with Meghan pregnant, he is desperate to heal the rift. Thomas has reached out to Kensington Palace since news of Meghan’s pregnancy broke, hoping the baby will be what finally breaks their estrangement,” a source said.
The 74-year-old has not spoken to Markle since before she tied the knot to Prince Harry on May 19. Thomas was invited to attend the royal wedding, but he was unable to make it because he underwent heart surgery days earlier.
Earlier this week, Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Jr., also pleaded with Prince Harry’s wife to reach out to their dad.
“Congratulations to you and Prince Harry’s exciting news of your pregnancy, the entire world, myself, and the Markle family are so happy for the both of you. We are all so looking forward to the new addition to the family and also hoping that we can be part of the child’s life, especially dad’s life because I can only tell you how proud he is of you and how much it would mean to him to meet his royal grandchild,” he wrote.
Thomas Jr. went on to say that he hopes the arrival of Markle and Prince Harry’s baby could help mend the issues between the Duchess and their family.
“I only wish you the best and all the happiest time to come,” he concluded (via Express).
