Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., recently criticized the Duchess of Sussex again.

The former lighting director revealed that he has not spoken to his daughter and son-in-law, Prince Harry. Thomas has not also been given the chance to meet his grandson, Archie. And the Sussexes haven’t also sent him even just one photo of Archie.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans shared their thoughts on why they think Thomas started doing interviews again. The 75-year-old had been awfully quiet in the last couple of months. A royal expert previously said that Thomas refused interviews in the hopes of reconciling with his daughter.

Heather Clarke, a nursing graduate, said that there is only one reason why Thomas is doing interviews again and it has something to do with money.

“The money has run out. There was no money in it for silence… I truly believe he was hoping that if he were silent, he'd get exclusive access that he could then sell… He didn't so he'll instead whine about not having access,” she said.

Jessie Bauchope Young said that Thomas and his children are simply relatives from hell.

“He deserted his first wife plus Meghan to start a new life. He decided to make money from daughter’s wedding, even before she was married then he lied about his non-existent heart problems, to dodge giving her away, letting that poor girl down badly,” she said.

Markle previously cut ties from her dad after he posed for a series of fake photos with Daily Mail. Shortly after the truth was exposed, Thomas claimed that he suffered from a heart attack. As such, he had to undergo heart surgery and was unable to attend his daughter’s royal wedding.

But at that time, Markle still tried to reach out to her dad via a handwritten letter. But Thomas also exposed the note – which was supposed to be private – to the entire world.
