Meghan Markle’s Dad Throws Shade At Prince Harry Amid Royal Rift
Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas Markle Sr. just attacked Prince Harry.
Markle’s father agreed to make another tabloid interview and made a number of revelations about his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to Markle Sr., he wrote a two-page letter for his daughter and sent it via Markle’ representative in Los Angeles.
In his letter, Markle Sr. threw shade at his son-in-law by mentioning Prince Harry’s past scandals. “I also pointed out the Royals haven’t always been perfectly behaved. I wrote that I’ve never played pool naked, nor have I dressed up as a Nazi,” he told Daily Mail.
Markle Sr. was referencing to Prince Harry’s infamous pictures in Las Vegas during a strip billiards games that leaked. The Duke of Sussex also made headlines after the Sun published his photo in a crude imitation Nazi uniform with swastika armband in 2005.
Many were shocked after seeing Prince Harry’s photo in the controversial outfit. However, some understood him and even defended him.
A senior Army official said that for him, Prince Harry was not a liability. He added that there were a number of cadets who also displayed lack of judgment but since they were not a royal like Prince Harry, they didn't end up in the Sun's cover pages.
Prince Harry was rebellious in his teenage years. He reportedly drunk excessively and even smoked weed, which surprised his own dad, Prince Charles.
The Prince of Wales was not happy with Prince Harry’s rebellious ways that he ordered him to visit a rehab. Prince Charles ordered the Duke of Sussex to talk to other people who suffered drug addiction in the clinic in hopes that it would give the young royal an overview of how addiction could affect him. Prince Charles hoped that by doing so, Prince Harry would not progress beyond smoking weed.
According to Clive Godman, the future king believed that Prince Harry would benefit from a short visit to a rehabilitation center. The heir also received tremendous sympathy for his effort in putting his youngest son back on the straight path, just like Prince William.
