Prince Harry Rejects Meghan Markle’s Dad’s Apology, Gives Him This Punishment Instead

Prince Harry was not happy with the mistake Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas Markle Sr. made that he didn’t accept his apology.

Markle Sr. made headlines just days before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchanged vows for staging a photoshoot. He admitted the “stupid mistakes” but felt that being frozen out from his daughter’s life is a “punishment which does not fit the crime” especially since he already apologized to Prince Harry.

“I apologised to Harry on the phone and all he said was, ‘If you’d listened to me, none of this would have happened.’ I did a few things wrong, said a few things I should not have said,” Markle Sr. told Daily Mail.

“But some of the Royals have done far worse things… There are convicts in prisons who have murdered and committed all kinds of horrible crimes, and their daughters still visit them.”

Markle Sr. explained that he only agreed to stage his photos because he was “sick of seeing schlubby pictures of me buying beer which wasn’t even for me.”

Markle’s half-sister Samantha took the blame for the scandal. According to her, the idea was from her and they only did it to give their dad a positive image in the media. She insisted that they didn’t do it for the money after reports claimed that Markle Sr. received cash for it.

“The bad press over my father doing staged photos is my fault. The media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family. We had no idea he would be taken advantage of. It was not for money @KensingtonRoyal,” Samantha explained.

Following the incident, Markle Sr. canceled his attendance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. According to him, he couldn’t make it because he was recovering from a heart surgery.

However, according to an insider, Markle Sr. was just too shy to face the royal family following his photo scandal, so he made up that excuse to miss Markle’s big day.

“The whole story about Meghan’s father undergoing heart surgery was made up,” the insider said. “He had to come up with a good enough reason not to attend her wedding and avoid any further embarrassment after those staged photos went public.”
