Meghan Markle's Ex-Husband Trevor Engelson Officially A Dad After Welcoming First Child

Meghan Markle's ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, whom she married and divorced years before meeting Prince Harry, is now a parent.

Engelson has officially become a dad after his wife, Tracey Kurland, gave birth to their daughter, Ford Grace Engelson.

Engelson and Kurland's pregnancy was announced less than a year after they exchanged "I dos" in Montecito, Calif., Us Weekly reported.

Engelson and Markle have both moved on from each other. In fact, the producer "doesn't really think about Meghan," a source told the outlet in May.

"He’s in a very happy relationship. Meghan and Trevor no longer speak," the source added.

Markle and Engelson were married from 2011 to 2013. When they were together, West Coast correspondent for Daily Mail Ryan Parry claimed that the duchess made outrageous pregnancy demands because she wanted to stay in her celebrity shape after the baby. However, their agreement didn't involve lawyers.

"She knows the heavy-weighted body-type runs in her family and has always been terrified of putting on extra pounds, particularly given her career at the time," one source said.

"Anytime she puts on a bit of weight, it shows on her face, so she wanted to make sure she would be camera-ready very quickly. She demanded a personal trainer and nutritionist during and after the pregnancy. I'm sure a nanny was discussed too, but the main focus for her was on health and weight."

Andrew Morton, Princess Diana's biographer and author of "Meghan: A Hollywood Princess," learned that the former "Suits" star suddenly ended their marriage. A friend of the couple told Morton that Markle sent her wedding and engagement rings back to Engelson by registered post. Another source said it was Markle who ended their marriage “totally out of the blue.”

Markle and her childhood best friend Ninaki Priddy also had a falling-out after her split from Engelson. Priddy sided with Markle’s ex-husband following their divorce.

"What came to light after Trevor and I spoke ended my friendship with Meghan. I think everybody who knew them both was in shock," Priddy said. "All I can say now is that I think Meghan was calculated, very calculated, in the way she handled people and relationships. She is very strategic in the way she cultivates circles of friends."
