Meghan Markle found a feminist husband in Prince Harry and she is very proud of the duke as a partner and father to their son, Archie.

Markle recently had a chat with political activist Gloria Steinem. During their conversation in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's backyard in their Montecito mansion, they touched the subject of feminism. Markle gushed over the advanced screening of "The Glorias," a film about Steinem's life, and commented that as she's gotten older, she's come to understand that "it's not mutually exclusive to be a feminist and be feminine."

"Well, you can be a feminist and be masculine and a guy," Steinem replied as quoted by People.

"Like my husband!" Markle quipped proudly.

"I love that when he just came in he said, 'You know that I’m a feminist too, right Gloria?! It's really important to me that you know that.'"

The duchess is convinced that Prince Harry will have a positive influence on their son, Archie, as a dad.

"I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning that as part of his own self-identification," the duchess continued.

"That there’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women."

Steinem also pointed out Prince Harry being a "nurturing father." She believes that it will have an impact on Archie growing up in an environment where it is okay for a man to be loving and nurturing.

"Well said," Markle replied. "I know it’ll mean a lot to him when I share that.”

Markle and Steinam also talked about the power of voting and encouraged everyone, especially the women, to vote in the upcoming election. However, not everyone was impressed with Markle’s effort to speak about the election publicly.

Piers Morgan slammed the duchess for discussing politics because she is still a royal. Marlene Koenig, a royal expert and biographer, defended the duchess by stressing that Markle is nonpartisan and a non-working royal.

A source close to Markle said the duchess will continue to talk about the election to raise awareness. She has no plans to stop despite the criticisms she’s been receiving.
