Meghan Markle’s Mom Doria Did This To Oscar De La Renta’s Designers
Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, reportedly did a sweet thing for Oscar de la Renta’s designers.
The fashion house was the one that created Ragland’s attire for the royal wedding on May 19. Months later, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia revealed that the yoga instructor brought snacks for them. Ragland made sure to bring only healthy choices and she never gave the designers cookies.
Kim and Garcia shared that Markle personally asked them to design her mom’s attire because she wanted an American designer to be represented on her wedding day. After all, Markle’s wedding dress was designed by British brand Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller.
“After receiving a very exciting letter from Markle’s assistant, we flew to LA to meet Doria and she brought us snacks to the fitting. They were healthy snacks because she’s a runner,” Garcia said (via Daily Mail).
“She’s so sweet. Her snacks were so cute too. It wasn’t like cookies. It was very thought out,” Kim added.
In related news, Ragland wore a pistachio green mother-of-the-bride ensemble to her daughter and Prince Harry’s nuptials. But the designers revealed that it was only after she got out of the car that they knew for sure that she wore the Oscar de la Renta creation.
According to Garcia, the palace was radio silent on what Ragland will wear to the massive event so they simply hoped for the first. And when the designers saw their creation being worn by Ragland, they felt a certain sense of unity because the whole world was watching.
After the royal wedding, Ragland returned to the United Kingdom to attend Markle’s book launch. There are also some rumors suggesting that she will be moving to London so she could be closer to Markle and her first grandchild. If Ragland won’t permanently move to London, she will most definitely fly back and forth from LA to the UK after the baby is born.
