Meghan Markle’s Mom Doria Ragland Teaches Yoga After Snubbing Queen’s Christmas Invitation

Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, resumed teaching yoga after snubbing Queen Elizabeth II’s Christmas invitation.

The Duchess of Sussex’s mother is celebrating the holidays in Los Angeles. Ragland continues with her regular business after declining the Queen’s invitation to join the royals for a Christmas dinner.

Express shared a photo of Ragland dressed casually in a white top and navy blue trousers with a sweater tied around her waist. Ragland was spotted getting out of her car and heading to the yoga studio. The publication noted that she was teaching yoga lessons on the said outing.

Days after Ragland rejected the Queen’s rare invitation, she was also seen running errands in the city. During the said sighting, Markle’s mother wore matching black top, pants and shoes. She was accompanied by a male friend. They were talking as they walked toward her vehicle.

According to an insider, the monarch opted to invite Ragland to celebrate the season with them for her pregnant daughter, Markle. The Duchess of Sussex has no other family members in London.

Many were surprised after learning that Ragland declined Her Majesty’s offer because the monarch rarely does it. In fact, Queen Elizabeth II hasn’t invited Kate Middleton’s parents for the said occasion.

According to reports, Ragland has embraced life with a royal daughter. However, she won’t be joining the royal’s festivities because it’s unusual for a non-member of the royal family to join the Queen for Christmas celebration.

Markle was the first royal fiancée who got to spend the holidays with the royals. Middleton only joined the royal family for Christmas after she wed Prince William.

Ragland is also not moving to London for good. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving to their Frogmore home in Windsor. There were speculations that Ragland will have her own room there.

Markle reportedly prefers to have her mom around than hire more staff after giving birth. However, according to an insider, the yoga instructor has no plans to move permanently to the UK.

“It’s likely that Doria will spend extended vacations with Meghan and Harry, but a permanent move at this stage is not in the cards,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
