Meghan Markle’s Mom Flies To London, Stays In Annex Before Grandchild’s Birth
Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, is expected to fly to London in the coming days to witness the birth of her first grandchild.
Martha Cliff, a journalist for The Sun, said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also provide Ragland with a one-bedroom annex in their new home at the Frogmore Cottage.
Official plans submitted to Windsor and Maidenhead Council indicated that the Frogmore Cottage has a separate one-bedroom outbuilding that is perfect for housing the yoga instructor.
While the majority of the details regarding the renovation of Frogmore Cottage has not been disclosed to the public, the one-bedroom annex was one of the proposed changes to the property that has been publicized.
Ragland is based in Los Angeles, and she was recently spotted in the city walking her dogs. But in the coming days, she will be touching down in the United Kingdom for the birth of Baby Sussex.
The one-bedroom annex that she will be staying in features a simple brick outbuilding with a fireplace, red-tiled flooring, original light switches, and pink marbles on the northern wall.
Meanwhile, reports also claimed that Markle has requested for her newly-renovated home to feature a mother-and-baby yoga room with a floating floor. Soundproofing has also been installed throughout the lavish property.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen designer Vicky Charles to fit out their two-story cottage. Charles has worked with celebrities as well as the royal’s favorite destination Soho House.
In related news, Markle is expected to give birth sometime at the end of this month or the beginning of May. The Duchess of Sussex is currently on maternity leave, and she will return to her royal duties six months later.
Details about where she will give birth, her baby’s gender, and her baby’s name have not yet been revealed. All this information will be announced by the palace on the day that the “Suits” alum will give birth.
