Meghan Markle’s Parenting Style ‘Confusing,’ ‘Unprofessional’; Kate Middleton ‘Traditional,’ Wants Children To Follow Rules

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s parenting styles have been described as vastly different. But even if this is the case, neither of them is considered to be wrong.

While speaking with Express, royal expert Martina Mercer compared the two duchesses and said that Markle’s approach is less traditional compared to Middleton. In fact, this is the reason why Prince Harry and Markle are focused more on Archie’s welfare rather than on royal protocols.

“While still in the royal spotlight, and performing royal duties, Meghan’s parenting style confused onlookers, as some deemed it as almost unprofessional compared to how we’ve seen royal children raised in the past. Meghan and Harry have forgone royal expectations while creating a bubble around their little family, putting the welfare of Archie center stage,” she said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, just like other new parents, feel very protective of their son, Archie. After he was born, they didn’t focus much on what they should do but on what would be best for the 9-month-old. Middleton, on the other hand, understands her responsibilities both as a mom and as the future queen.

“Neither way is wrong. However, Meghan and Harry would have constantly met criticism from the public for their non-traditional parenting style if they hadn’t chosen to remove themselves from royal life. It was clear that Harry and Meghan’s heart ruled their heads as soon as Archie was born, and they wanted to follow their natural maternal and paternal instincts without the rigidity of royal life,” she said.

Prince William and Middleton, on the other hand, are also protective of their children but they want Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to grow up while following royal traditions and protocols.

Meanwhile, Markle and Middleton also made headlines this week after the latter’s thoughts on the former’s Megxit was revealed. The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly feeling stressed and pressured because of the additional work she is expected to receive.
