Meghan Markle's Sister Samantha Slammed Over Reaction To Prince Harry's 'Family' Statement

Meghan Markle's sister, Samantha Markle, did not like Prince Harry's comments about family, but many believed that she got it wrong.

On Wednesday, Prince Harry appeared on BBC Radio 4's "Today" program. On the said interview, the duke confessed that the "Suits" actress had a fantastic Christmas and the royals love her. He also added that Markle is "getting in there and it's the family I suppose that she's never had."

Samantha did not like Prince Harry's statement and reacted to Twitter saying that their family is complete. She also insisted that Markle's large family has always been there for her. In fact, when the actress' parents separated they made sure that she has two homes. "No one was estranged," Samantha wrote while promoting her book "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister."

However, many felt that Samantha just wanted to ride on Markle's popularity. "Samantha is looking for drama and cashing in on it too! Pretty Disgusting!" Kari commented on her post.

"You just proved his point, estranged or not you have no place commenting on her personal life to sell a book. Thats not what family is about," Tennile wrote.

"I believe that's true, I also believe a couple of her sibs are ready to make money on her with books and tv shows and that's not love. That's just wrong," acninee added.

A number called Samantha "opportunistic." Others think that she is just jealous of Markle's new found fame and the royal life waiting for her ahead. Meanwhile, others took the time to defend Prince Harry.

"Pretty sure you're going a little overboard with this. I don't think he meant it in an insulting way, but you do whatever you need to to get some light on your career," Tanner Rahl wrote.

"I believe he was referring to the size of his family and nothing else Samantha," Charlene Walthour added.

"Obviously he meant a new family who won't exploit her for personal gain ny writing books about her since they haven't done noteworthy things themselves," another user wrote.

In November, Samantha claimed that she was just misquoted by tabloids. According to her, she and Markle were never estranged. In fact, her book, despite its controversial title, is not a "slamming 'tell-all.'"

Meanwhile, another insider told E! News that Markle and Samantha have never been closed due to their age gap. In fact, they never live together.

"Samantha Grant doesn't have a relationship with Meghan Markle and she never has," a source said. "As they were 17 years apart, they were never raised in the same house. Meghan was raised an only child by her loving parents."
