  • Megyn Kelly slammed Meghan Markle after saying she was objectified on "Deal or No Deal"
  • Kelly claimed Markle knew exactly what she was getting into when she joined the game show
  • Kelly said Markle was trying to con the people, adding the duchess loved being objectified

Megyn Kelly lashed out at Meghan Markle for the things she said about "Deal or No Deal" in the recent episode of her "Archetypes" podcast.

The Duchess of Sussex shared how she felt while working on "Deal or No Deal" as a briefcase girl from 2006 to 2007. Prince Harry's wife said she was "objectified" and was "reduced to a bimbo" while in the NBC series.

The 51-year-old American journalist reacted and was unconvinced by Markle's statement. Kelly believed Markle knew what was waiting for her when she joined the TV game show as a briefcase girl.

"[Markle] knew exactly what she was getting herself into on that job, and it was no surprise to her that they wanted her to look as good as possible while doing it," Kellly said on her SiriusXM show "The Megyn Kelly Show" on Wednesday.

"What she's trying to con us on now is whether she enjoyed it," the media personality, who mockingly branded Markle "Duchess of Duplicity" and "Duchess of Privacy," continued by saying, "She loved every minute of it! She wanted to be objectified! She wanted the adulation just like she still wants it to this day."

Kelly added that after Markle left "Deal or No Deal," she started a website and posted "half-naked pictures of herself." She also mocked Markle for appearing on "Suits" where she reportedly "regularly appeared in her underwear."

International Business Times could not independently verify Kelly's claims.

As Markle looked back on her experience on the game show, she said, "It was solely about beauty, and not necessarily about brains."

"I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage. I didn't like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance, and that's how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype: the word 'bimbo,'" she added.

Markle's former "Deal or No Deal" co-star Claudia Jordan also reacted to the duchess' statement. She disagreed that the show was solely about beauty and pointed out how it opened doors for her 25-year career.

"For clarity - yes getting a modeling gig on a game show isn't necessarily about your intellect, but [for] every show the executive producers picked five models with the most outgoing and fun personalities to place mics on, who they knew would engage with the contestants," she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

"And 'Deal or No Deal' NEVER treated us like bimbos. We got so many opportunities because of that show, Fremantle and @nbc."
