Mel B Files For Restraining Order Against Her Children’s Ex-Nanny Lorraine Gilles
Mel B recently filed for a restraining order against her children’s ex-nanny, Lorraine Gilles.
According to TMZ, the filing came around the same time that the Spice Girls member obtained a court order to see the contents of a storage locker owned by Gilles. The “America’s Got Talent” judge claimed that the locker contains 12 to 15 boxes filled with sex tapes and photos of Gilles and Mel B’s estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte. But on Tuesday, police officials raided the storage and confirmed that they didn’t find anything.

Mel B previously accused Gilles of having sex with Belafonte. She added that Belafonte got Gilles pregnant, but the latter was asked by the former to get an abortion. In 2015, Mel B fired Gilles after they got back from their vacation with Belafonte and their kids. At the time, Belafonte allegedly urged Mel B to rehire Gilles and give her a raise. She claimed that if she had refused, Belafonte would release their sex tapes.
Meanwhile, Mel B also revealed that Belafonte has been physically abusing her for the past couple of years. However, she never left him because he was the one who handled their finances. Mel B finally decided to file for divorce after she received support from her family and friends, including Simon Cowell.
While speaking with The Sun, Cowell said that he’s proud of Mel B for how she’s been handling her divorce. “She’s an incredible person. If you think about what Mel’s done since leaving the Spice Girls and what she’s gone through, how hard she works and how I saw her try to handle this situation, it’s astonishing. She’s under pressure but I think she’s in a good place. She’s had the whole thing she’s had to deal with, the other side of her personal life,” he said.
Mel B and Cowell will reunite in the upcoming 12th season of “America’s Got Talent” starting May 30 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
