Melania Trump recently made headlines while in London but for all the wrong reasons.

The FLOTUS and Donald Trump arrived at Clarence House for tea with Prince Charles and Camilla before the NATO event at Buckingham Palace that night. Instead of shaking hands with the future queen, the first lady kissed her on the cheek.

But Prince Charles’ wife didn’t seem to mind the surprising gesture. Camilla placed her hands on Melania’s shoulders and kissed her back.

According to Express, there are no written rules when it comes to greeting members of the royal family. However, kisses on the cheek are usually frowned upon unless they are exchanged by other members of the royal family.

On the royal family’s official website, information on how best to behave when meetings the members of the British clan are available.

“There are no obligatory codes of behavior when meeting The Queen or a member of the Royal Family, but many people wish to observe the traditional forms. For men, this is a neck bow (from the head only) whilst women do a small curtsy. Other people prefer simply to shake hands in the usual way,” the website explained.

Meanwhile, the FLOTUS also made headlines after she was spotted struggling while walking down the stairs of the plane beside her husband. The First Lady looked stunning in her red coat ahead of the NATO summit. But eagle-eyed watchers said that President Trump snapped at his wife during their outing.

On Twitter, fans couldn’t help but notice how FLOTUS relied on the president for support.

“She’s strongly gripping the rail with her right hand and he’s fully using her as support,” one person tweeted.

“His left hand is just sliding along the rail and appears to have no gripping power,” another person wrote.

“He's holding on to her hand with his right arm out, like his left arm is on the rail, for balance. It's not a natural handhold position- he was using her hand like a railing on his right,” another person tweeted.
