Melania Trump Encouraged Husband To Run For President; FLOTUS, POTUS Have ‘Marriage Of Equals’

Melania Trump said she was involved in her husband Donald Trump’s decision to run for president.

Washington Examiner shared a clip of the president and first lady’s past interviews to commemorate their 15th Valentine’s Day as married couple on Twitter. In one interview, Melania was asked if she was involved in Trump’s decision to run for president and the FLOTUS gave a positive respond.

“We discussed a lot, yes. And I encouraged him,” Melania said.

“I encouraged him because I know what he will do and what he can do for America. He loves the American people and he wants to help them. I see the connection with the American people and my husband and he created a movement, and the crowd and the people that are behind him, it’s unbelievable to see.“

In the same interview, Trump and Melania were asked, “Is yours a marriage of equals?” Melania answered right away saying, “I would say, yes.” However, Trump contradicted his wife and said, “I would say ,no,” but the POTUS added saying “I think she is clever than the 50%” which prompted Melania to laugh.

“We have a pretty much equal relationship,” Trump said while staring at his wife who immediately agreed.

In the same clip, Trump can be heard saying that if he would be lucky enough to win the election, the public would also be lucky to have his wife, Melania, as the first lady. The POTUS said that Melania would be a beautiful and elegant FLOTUS. “She will be a fabulous first lady,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, the Twitter users speculate that Trump is more interested in his daughter Ivanka than wife Melania. The outrageous conspiracy theory has been around for a while and it resurfaced after Trump’s victory speech where he was seen hugging Ivanka. Trump also embraced his wife, but many felt that his gesture toward Melania was not a “real hug.”
