KEY POINTS

- Melania Trump refuses to talk about her half-brother
- Melania Trump's father shares similarities with Donald Trump
Melania Trump reportedly has a half-brother that she refuses to talk about and who she has not met.
Denis Cigelnjak shares the same father with the FLOTUS and her sister, Ines Knavs. In 1964, Melania’s father, Viktor, dated a woman named Marija Cigelnjak and he got her pregnant.
Initially, Viktor offered to marry his then-girlfriend, but he suddenly had a change of heart. The first lady’s father wasn’t thrilled to find out that his girlfriend was expecting, and he encouraged her to get an abortion. However, Marija still pushed through with her pregnancy.
Melania’s dad refused to pay child support until he was subjected to DNA testing that proved he was Denis’ father.
While speaking with GQ, Denis revealed that his father gave him financial support until he was 18 years old. He also said that he never reached out to his half-sisters because he didn’t want to disturb them.
However, if Denis would be given the opportunity, he wouldn’t mind meeting Melania and President Donald Trump. But he made it clear that he’s not after their money or their connections.
The FLOTUS also spoke with GQ years ago, and she initially denied having any knowledge of her half-brother. But when interviewer Julia Ioffe sent her the court documents that proved Denis was related to the first lady’s dad, Melania said that she’d known about her half-brother for years.
Unfortunately, she refused to talk about him. President Trump’s wife also said that her father is a private individual so his privacy should be respected.
Meanwhile, Political Flare claimed that Melania’s father shares some similarities with her husband. In fact, this could be the reason why FLOTUS’s marriage works.
Just like Viktor, President Trump is a successful businessman. Both of them have a strong pull in politics and the courts.
Years ago, the POTUS also seemingly suggested for his second wife, Marla Maples, to consider getting an abortion after he found out that she’s pregnant with their daughter, Tiffany Trump. However, Maples refused.
