Melania Trump’s ‘Mysteriousness’ Makes Her More Effective Than Michelle Obama; Ex-FLOTUS More ‘Popular’

Melania Trump and Michelle Obama couldn’t be more different from each other as first ladies of the United States.

But even though Barack Obama’s wife was one of the most popular first ladies of the country, she wasn’t as effective in her role as Donald Trump’s wife.

While speaking with Express, U.S. political and cultural commentator Jadan Horyn said that one of the reasons why the current FLOTUS is more effective than Michelle is because of her mysteriousness.

The former first lady wasn’t also very political, and she couldn’t be separated from her husband. Horyn said that Michelle was a popular first lady because she didn’t talk much about politics and her persona is PR-made.

“When they tie her to Barack Obama and Barack Obama as a politician her popularity goes down. So, I don’t think she was effective in the same way as Melania Trump. Because they tried to win this very fine line between her being a mother and doing her gardening,” Horyn said.

On the other hand, Melania is known to be separate from her husband. They don’t always share the same stand on certain issues. And not a lot of people know who the FLOTUS is even though she’s been the first lady for almost four years.

“Whereas, it is quite clear from Melania that this is not conducted in some massive avenue advertising process. It is who she is and it is who she wants to communicate to the American public. So, to me there is an element of authenticity which is why she is so mysterious to both the left and the right,” Horyn said.

The commentator went on to say that unlike the other first ladies, Melania has chosen to redefine her role. She didn’t simply become the POTUS’s support system, but she figured out a way how to make her role work for her.

Meanwhile, Michelle also made headlines this week after she shared her workout playlist on social media to her millions of followers. Some of the songs featured in her playlist are from Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and more.

However, some critics lambasted the former FLOTUS for sharing her inspirational workout playlist when she’s not inspiring herself. Others also criticized her choice of music and branded her tasteless.
