Melissa George Tearfully Claims Jean-David Blanc Beat Her; Ex-Husband Reacts

Melissa George has opened up about the suffering she went through with her ex-husband, Jean-David Blanc, whom she claims assaulted her. However, her former partner has denied the allegation.

In her tell-all interview with Australia’s Channel Seven’s “Sunday Night,” the “30 Days of Night” star recalled an incident of violence between her and Blanc that happened last September in Paris. “I’ve been hit, I’ve been in a fight,” George recalled during the teary interview, E! News noted. “I’ve got my babies.”

George added that the assault left her helpless because she couldn’t walk nor turn her neck. She added that the reporters were bribed and did not tell the real story. She was also slammed with kidnapping charges when she tried to leave France with their two sons, Raphael Blanc and Solal Samuel Glenn Blanc.

Her estranged husband did not keep quiet following George’s testimony. Blanc released a statement, which was delivered by his lawyer Jacqueline Laffont, where he fired back at the claims against him. “I wish to answer once and for all the inaccurate information given by Melissa George,” he wrote in the statement, News.com noted.

Blanc explained that George attempted to leave the country secretly with their two sons without his consent, so he filed charges against for her kidnapping attempt. He also denied that the aggressive encounter George revealed ever happened. “Regarding the supposed violence against Melissa George, I strongly contest it and have thus filed an appeal against the judgment, which is not final,” the statement said.

Daily Mail reported that George was indeed admitted to Cochin Hospital in September after turning up at a local police station with bruises and complaints of pain. At the time, she had already accused Blanc of beating her. However, a month later, he denied the allegations.
