A recent data mining activity seemingly uncovered the new game that Square Enix is preparing, which could be called “Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories.”

The latest set of information about the rumored upcoming title from Square Enix was shared on Reddit and picked up by Gamerant. According to the leaker, data miners were able to uncover the logo of “Kingdon Hearts: Melody of Memories” on the files of the game developer’s site for the mobile game, “Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road.” There are no more details about the said game and the tipster made it clear that it is still a piece of unverified information.

Interestingly, a Reddit user named adogrocks50 highlighted something about the logo of “Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories” that could be crucial about the title. The user noted that “KH” games with a long K in their titles do not feature Sora as the main character. If the user’s statement is to go by, it seems like the upcoming title will feature a new protagonist with Sora as one of the main playable characters.

Gamerant speculated that based on the events of “Kingdom Hearts 3 Re: Mind,” the next title in the series might feature Kairi as the protagonist. If this happens, this would be the first time in the “KH” series that Kairi would have a major role. It would be a delight, however, to Kairi’s fans who would like to see their favorite character taking a more active role, the site reported.
