Mia Khalifa has gone public with her new relationship months after she and her ex-husband Robert Sandberg called it quits.

On Friday, Khalifa and her new boyfriend, Puerto Rican singer Jhay Cortez, made their relationship Instagram official with posts they each shared on their respective pages.

Khalifa, 28, shared snaps from their trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with one photo showing the couple walking closely beside each other and another featuring two bottles of juice inside a car.

"Te sigo," she wrote in the caption, adding heart and fire emojis and tagging Cortez. The caption translates to "I follow you."

On her Instagram Story, Khalifa also shared a video of herself dancing along to a song by her boyfriend. "The way the feminism leaves my body when a @jhaycortez verse is on," she wrote alongside the clip.

On his own account, Cortez confirmed that they are a couple by posting a photo of him and Khalifa in an open-roofed car as well as a clip of them sharing a series of kisses.

"LA PRESION YA NO SOY YO ES ELLA @MIAKHALIFA," the musician wrote in the caption, which translates in English to, "The pressure is not me, it is her."

"You're magic," Khalifa commented on Cortez's post.

Khalifa was previously married to her longtime boyfriend, Swedish chef Robert Sandberg. In July, the pair, who got engaged in March 2019, announced their separation after just over a year of marriage.

"We can confidently say we gave it our all in making our marriage work but after almost a year of therapy and efforts, we are walking away knowing we have a friend in each other, and that we truly tried," the former couple said in a joint statement shared on Instagram.

They continued, "We will always love and respect each other because we know that not one isolated incident caused our split, but rather, a culmination of unresolvable, fundamental differences that no one can blame the other for."

The exes also said they were closing this chapter of their lives with "no regrets" and were starting their own new chapters separately. But they said they would always remain connected through their "incredible family, friends and love for our dogs."

"This has been long overdue, but we're glad we took our time and give it our all, and can walk away saying we tried our absolute hardest," Khalifa and Sandberg concluded.

The split announcement came as a surprise to fans because Sandberg even posted a sweet tribute to Khalifa for their first wedding anniversary on June 11.

"Happy anniversary, baby! There is no one like you. I love you more and more every single day. Let's continue [to] eat all the food around the world until we get really fat and old. You make my life complete my queen," the chef wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram, according to LadBible.
