Ex-porn actress Mia Khalifa has been criticized for using her screen name even after leaving the adult film industry by AVN Hall of Fame performer Brittany Andrews.
Speaking in an interview with The Daily Beast, Andrews revealed that a lot of people within the industry are really “angry” with the Lebanese-American sports commentator for making a huge amount of money out of the name that was given to her by the porn industry.
Andrews noted that Khalifa does have the right to give her “opinions” on the industry that made her a famous personality. However, she believes that it is “hypocritical” of Khalifa to “keep” the screen name even after leaving the industry.
“A lot of people in the industry are vehemently angry with her for making all this money off the name that she created in porn, the name that gave her this platform to stand on and criticize what made her. She has a right to give her opinion but it just seems hypocritical that you would keep the same name,” Andrews told the publication.
Khalifa has been criticizing various websites for “promoting” her traumas. Her fans even started a petition called “Justice For Mia” that is demanding for her videos to be removed from various adult sites.
Later in the discussion, Andrews said that anyone who has had a bad experience with something or someone would want to separate herself or himself from that particular thing, but Khalifa is not doing this because she needs the screen name to stay relevant.
“If it was a really bad experience, I’d think you’d want to separate and change your name to something different, but maybe she has to keep it in order to keep this platform. Everyone has a different experience, and everyone has a right to talk about their experience,” Andrews said in the interview.
The remarks made by Andrews come a few days after BangBros criticized the ex-porn star for her scathing statements about the company. The company set up a website called factsbeatfiction.com where it claims to reveal the truth about the allegations made by Khalifa.
