Miami Heat, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade choked at the end
The Miami Heat including their stars Lebron James and Dwyane Wade simply fell apart at the end.
DeShawn Stevenson claimed after Game 4 that James appeared checked out. The same was true at the end of Game 6 as the Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks 105-95.
Broadcasters for ABC noted that multiple players on the Heat did not quite appear to be focused on the game. Many did not make the extra effort to contest shots, despite only being down by 9 points with a minute and a half left in the game.
James' play was extremely poor in all the fourth quarters of each game. He only had 11 points in the final periods of the first five games and didn't do much better in the Game 6 scoring only 7 points.
Any time you feel like you get to the top of the mountain and you fall off, there's definitely a personal failure, James said.
The Heat's other star Dwyane Wade only had 4 points in the fourth quarter.
Following the game, Wade said, The word 'choked' is overused in sports, period. We lost ballgames. We lost The Finals. We ran into a team that at this time obviously was better than us.
The Miami Heat fell apart at the end of their most important game. Although Wade was hesitant to say it, it appeared that the Heat did indeed choke.
