High curiosity exists on the health condition of iconic Formula 1 racer Michael Schumacher ever since he suffered serious brain injuries from a skiing accident in late 2013. Now a major update on his health has come from one of his close associates.
Is Schumacher conscious, can he walk have been the major queries of his fans and the public so far.
Although more than a few five years have elapsed since the accident, the fans of Schumacher and the general public have been in the dark about his health condition.
All they know was Schumacher had a fatal fall and his head hit a rock while skiing in the French Alps at Meribel on December 29, 2013. Despite wearing a helmet, Schumacher suffered heavy brain injuries from which he is still recuperating.

However, in a recent update, Corinna said: “Michael is a fighter and will not give up.”
In 2016, a German lawyer named Felix Damm told a Hamburg court that Michael could “not walk.”
In a statement early this year, the Schumacher family said: “We are doing everything humanly possible to help him."
Michael Schumacher is better now, says his former boss
Now there is good news. Unlike generalized statements about his health, one of his close friends and a former boss categorically said the Michael Schumacher is “making progress” in his recovery.
The rare update came from Jean Todt, in an interview with Radio Monte-Carlo.
Todt has been a close confidant of the champion German car racer. He said his update is with great responsibility and even shared the news that the duo jointly watched F1 races on television.
“I’m always careful with such statements, but it’s true,” Todt said. “I saw the race together with Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland."
Schumacher, who turned 50 on January 3 had his preliminary treatment at the University of Lausanne. Later he was shifted to his current home in Switzerland.
In the meantime, Michael’s son Mick has become a racing driver for Formula 2. Mick raced in his father’s Ferrari that won him the 2004 German Grand Prix.
A documentary film on the star is coming
According to reports, Schumacher fans are awaiting the release of a documentary on the German driver’s life later this year in which they hope to see new updates on his current health.
The short film is being made by German filmmakers Michael Wech and Hanns-Bruno Kammertöns.
Named ‘Schumacher’, the film will feature the life and contributions of the seven-time F1 Grand Prix champion.
His family, friends will also share updates on his life since the accident.
Meanwhile, data on the audience figures during the 2018 season of Formula 1 shows F1 live had a significant increase in viewership across digital and TV platforms Vis a Vis the previous year.
The 2018 edition showed that the sport made a 10 percent increase in viewership globally and touched an impressive number of 490.2 million viewers.
