Michelle Branch And Patrick Carney Spotted Kissing At LA Bar After Suspending Divorce [Photo]
It seems Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney have patched things up after the once embattled couple was seen locking lips at a bar in Los Angeles recently.
The couple was spotted dancing and kissing each other as they enjoyed the night at Davey Wayne's bar in Los Angeles on Sunday night, according to TMZ.
The seemingly fun night out comes two months after a rocky episode in the couple's relationship. Branch was arrested in August for allegedly slapping Carney in the face. Prior to that, the singer-songwriter tweeted a note accusing the 42-year-old Black Keys frontman of cheating on her.
"To say that I am totally devastated doesn't even come close to describing how I feel for myself and for my family. The rug has been completely pulled from underneath me and now I must figure out how to move forward," Branch told People in August. "With such small children, I ask for privacy and kindness."
Last month, the couple decided to suspend their divorce proceedings for six months as they tried to work on their marriage and undergo counseling. Branch and Carney agreed that they will decide whether to proceed with the divorce after six months.
Branch also took to her Instagram page Monday and uploaded photos from Black Keys' Saturday concert at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. The snaps included a black-and-white photo showing the "Everywhere" singer seemingly receiving a kiss from Carney.
While the couple is doing what they can to save the marriage, Twitter users seem to be unhappy with the news.
"Not Michelle Branch getting back with the man who got her arrested for slapping him when she caught him cheating 😩 and turned off the comments," one user commented.
"So I guess Michelle Branch is back with her man," another wrote and tweeted a photo of a woman with a skeptical expression on her face. One user responded to this tweet and said, "That makes me sad." Another said, "If a couple works through some kind of infidelity or trust issues, that's on them. But we all know about it so they must wear the Cone of Shame."
Previously, the "Breathe" singer explained what actually happened before she was arrested for a domestic assault charge in August.
"I'm only seven months postpartum from having a baby. I mean every parent in the audience knows this: sleep stress, life stress, marriage stress, work stress," she said. "We had been out at a birthday party that night. I had had a few drinks. All of the blocks were stacked in a way that I didn't have time to think about really what I was doing."
The case has since been dismissed by Tennessee state authorities.
