Michelle Obama recently released her best-selling memoir, “Becoming.” In the book, she shared some details about her relationship with former president Barack Obama.

Even though the couple has been married for 27 years, the ex-FLOTUS admitted to having doubts about the ex-POTUS’ candidacy. The former first lady said that she harbored a painful thought while Barack was running for president.

“Barack was a black man in America, after all. I didn’t really think he could win,” she said.

During her interview on “Good Morning America,” the ex-FLOTUS admitted that she was afraid to hope just like the other black folks because it’s hard to believe that the people like them to lead a country that once oppressed them.

But in the end, Barack was named as president and his wife stood by his side during this time.

Meanwhile, Michelle and her family are already gearing up for the New Year. But she told People that she no longer makes resolutions. Years ago, she vowed to never make resolutions because she was never able to keep them.

But the ex-FLOTUS said that the one thing she wants to be able to do again is to go on a vacation with her entire family. As for the things that she loved the most this year, Michelle said that she enjoyed watching “Toy Story 4,” “American Son,” “Booksmart.”

The TV shows that she binged-watch was “The Politician,” “Unbelievable,” and “Pose.” Her Spotify playlist that was on repeat for most of the year was her “Becoming” playlist.

And according to Michelle, the biggest surprise of 2019 for her was the reception that she received when she released “Becoming” and while she was on tour. And the most inspiring person for her this year and every other year is her mom, Marian Robinson.

Michelle also said that the one thing that she’s looking forward to in 2020 is “becoming even more.”
