Michelle Pfeiffer’s ‘Dark Shadows’ Style Is A Family Affair
Michelle Pfeiffer stars alongside Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, out May 11, and she already has the fashion crowd buzzing. Pfeiffer plays Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, a descendant of Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp), in need of some help and protection from the imprisoned vampire set free.
Michelle Pfeiffer's moody 70s-goth style has some been given the family touch. Pfeiffer will wear the designs of sister-in-law Rona Pfeiffer in the Dark Shadows film.
I don't know anything about jewelry. I'm not kidding. I can get you a movie though, Rona, a former film and television agent turned jewelry designer, told Women's Wear Daily at the March opening of her shop-in-shop boutique at the Elizabeth Charles boutique in New York City's West Village.
Rona Pfeiffer's earthy, gothic pieces are perfect for Michelle's Dark Shadows character; not to mention each piece is handmade with natural martials like lava, raw coral, turquoise and ostrich egg. What more could the descendant of a vampire ask for? It almost kills me, but on some level I love it, she told WWD.
I don't ever wear my stuff. I agreed to put a pair of earrings on tonight, but I really don't wear my own things, she said at the NYC launch of her shop.
Despite her modesty, Rona has attracted the attention of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jessica Capshaw, Laura Dern and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood.
Pricing for her jewelry starts at $400 and goes as high as $29,000. Along with her earthy, antiqued pieces, Rona offers flashier baubles like diamond bracelets set in tarnished silver, wide pave diamond bangles and drop diamond earrings.

As for Dark Shadows, here is a full synopsis of Tim Burton's newest flick Warner Bros. Pictures:
In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England, to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet -- or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy ... until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.
Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.
