Michigan Shooting: Multiple Casualties In Grand Rapids Shooting
UPDATE: 7:20 a.m. EDT — The person killed in the shooting was a black male in his early 20s, NBC affiliate WOOD TV8 reported, citing Grand Rapids police officials. His identity has not yet been revealed.
Police are yet to release more information about the suspect.

One person was killed and at least eight others were injured in a shooting incident that took place early Sunday in the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. In a tweet, the Grand Rapids Police Department said the incident took place in the 1800 block of 28th Street Southeast.
According to local media reports, the incident took place at 4 a.m. when over 60 people gathered near a shop for a party. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
The condition of those injured and the identity of the person killed are still not clear. The unknown assailant is yet to be apprehended.
“We’re currently trying to figure out exactly what took place,” Grand Rapids Police Sgt. Terry Dixon reportedly said. “We’re very early on into this incident.”
