Microsoft Lumia 850 Rumors: Actual Photos Reveal Premium Design
Microsoft Lumia 850 is one of the rumored smartphones that is expected to release in the near future. A leaked photo of the smartphone has surfaced indicating that it will be sporting a slick design.
WM Power User has revealed new pictures of the alleged Microsoft Lumia 850 smartphone that is codenamed as "Honjo." The front side of the handset is made up of glass with glossy appeal along with a shiny golden colored frame along its edges. The rumor mill is of the view that the smartphone will be coming with a 5.4-inch display.
The image showing the front side of the Lumia 850 seems to feature a front-facing flash for the selfie camera. An iris scanner is placed alongside it that can be used with the Windows Hello feature of Windows 10.
From the images it can be also known that it houses a microUSB 2.0 port which means that the smartphone will not carry support for Continuum. Its topside features a 3.5 mm audio jack. It will be dual-SIM smartphone that will come with support for microSD expansion.
Previous rumours have suggested that the Lumia 850 will be powered by Snapdragon 617. It is the very same chipset that fuels the HTC One A9 and Galaxy A5 smartphones, GSM Arena reported.
The Lumia 850 is speculated to arrive in color options such as white, gold, black and dark silver. As of this writing, the Lumia 850 release date is not known. However, early speculations suggest that it will be released in the second quarter of this year.
According to Win Beta, the popular leakster @OnLeaks was the first one to release images of Lumia 850. It is expected to replace the Lumia 830 smartphone that was released in September 2014. However, the publication has claimed that the Lumia 850 has been cancelled and will not be released.
