Microsoft Windows 10 Releases Preview Of Controlled Release
Microsoft released a preview on the 19H2 branch of Windows 10 1909.
In its aim to correct the problems after the delayed Windows 10 1809 release, Microsoft now released the Windows 10 version 1909 from 19H2 batch. This preview is now available for Windows 10 release, version 1903 running PCs and is set to deliver quality enhancements, select performance improvements and enterprise features.
The said feature which is set to turn away from the normal laundry list of new user-facing features will install like a monthly update. This means that the Microsoft Windows 10 19H2 releases will skip the hassle of multiple restarts and long upgrade style installations.
Reports surfacing the internet reveal that Windows 10 19H2 is actually a service pack with a three-year rolling upgrade. This will give enough time for IT pros in preparation for the role out of the system for Windows 10 PCs.
The Microsoft Windows 10 19H2 release, build 18363.327 is the latest Windows 10 feature that comes with 30 months of support. This is just enough time before January 14, 2020, the Windows 7 scheduled end of life.
The presently available Microsoft Windows 10 build 18363.327 is not yet the final version that the Release Preview ring will see later this year prior to the launch. The Release Preview ring is where the testing of the throttled approach is done before its official market release that is why more stable builds are given here.
Microsoft usually allows 10 percent of insiders to have what they called the “seeker” experience. This insider will be given the privilege to directly go to Windows Update for a manual updating.
Meanwhile, Insiders from the Release Preview ring cannot switch rings to Slow ring. Since both are given different amount of duties and responsibilities, users who desire to switch are advised to stay put.
Microsoft has already launched a series of 19H2 build in the past months. On August 19, the software giant released two 19H2 versions for Slow ring that includes tweaks to the Start Menu as well as notification updates. It also featured Taskbar Calendar flyout.
Prior to that, two August 8 previews for slow ring were released. Features for these builds were either turned on or off by default.
